Bayou Boat House is the culmination of several boat scene images resulting in a somewhat mystical view. It is my intention to create images that are curious. The brush and pallet knife work is very spontaneous without much time to ponder, it�s just a feel. However, the ability to apply painting fundamentals at the �ready command� has taken years.
About John Henne
BIOGRAPHY: John’s creative drive evolved while growing up among artistic family members in Venice, Florida. John has sketched and painted throughout his life and after a successful career in the corporate world; he departed in 1996 to focus on his art. He has attended selected art classes at the University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College, as well as many seminars. Part of the educational process was a six-week tour of Europe visiting most of the major museums to absorb the essence of art history. John is active in the art community: he is founder and current board member of the North Tampa Arts League, has been a board member of the Arts Council of Hillsborough County and is a member (past chairman) of the Artist...
